Palm Beach Art Galleries

Palm Beach is home to some of the finest and most distinctive art galleries in the world. Each art gallery in Palm Beach has its own unique focus and style, reflecting the interest and passions of gallery owners and staff. Here is a look at the Surovek Gallery and some of the other art galleries in Palm Beach that make it a fabulous destination for art lovers and collectors.

Surovek Gallery

John Surovek opened his gallery more than forty years ago, with the focus on nineteenth and twentieth century American artists, the art he loves most. Surovek Gallery represents the estate of  Anthony Thieme.

In addition to offering master works by American greats like Winslow Homer, Grant Wood and Norman Rockwell, the gallery offers works by twenty-first century artists Floridian Stephen Scott Young and Maine artists John Whalley and Scott Kelley. John's son, Clay, joined the gallery and has focused his interest on more contemporary American artists like Alex Katz, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Tom Wesselman.

In addition to acquiring and selling great American artworks, John and Clay offer appraisal services, advice on conservation and framing and have been members of the Appraisers Association of America for more than 25 years.

Holden Luntz completed his graduate education in film and photography at NYU and has been involved in the world of fine art photography for over three decades. "As photography has been mainstreamed into the art market," the website says, "its importance and growing collectorship has encouraged museums, institutions, corporate collectors, and individuals to give increasing weight to the medium as an art form." Luntz offers a downloadable guide on the website called Collecting Fine Art Photography.

The Taglialatella Gallery

The Taglialatella Gallery in Palm Beach offers the works of contemporary artists including Banksy, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Mr. Brainwash, Jim Dine, Keith Haring, Rob Hay, Damien Hirst, Robert Indiana, Invader, Alex Katz, Jeff Koons, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Longo, Swoon, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann and Russell Young, and many others.

The Palm Beach location is just one of four art galleries founded by Dominic J. Taglialatella. The other galleries are in New York, Paris and Toronto.

The first Taglialatella was opened in 1978 and has created a niche in Contemporary and Street Art.

Dominic and wife, Sally, have established The Katherine M. Taglialatella Foundation, a non-profit organization that donates 100% of all proceeds raised to providing scholarships for minority students of single parents attending the Mt. Carmel-Holy Rosary School in East Harlem.
